Transforming Generations
EDUCATE. ENLIGHTEN. EMPOWER
Since 2018, TPWI has empowered women and girls in Kajiado County through
education, mentorship, health, and climate resilience programs—building
resilient, self-sustaining communities.
Who We Are
Transforming Pastoralist Women Initiative (TPWI) is a community-based organization founded in 2018 in Kajiado County. We exist to empower women and girls in pastoralist communities by addressing barriers in education, gender equality, health, and climate change.
Together, we are creating resilient, self-sustaining societies where every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive and lead.

and improve health in pastoralist communities.
Stories of Change
Through TPWI mentorship, I found the courage to stay in school. Today, I dream of becoming a teacher to inspire others like me.
